Work in Leipzig: Young companies offer career opportunities

Invest Region Leipzig präsentiert erfolgreiches Event "Work in Leipzig 2023 – Junge Unternehmen stellen sich vor"

On November 9, 2023, the Invest Region Leipzig (IRL) held the seventh edition of its "Investor Meets Talent" event. The event featured six young companies from the IRL's investment portfolio. The goal was to provide students and alumni of the University of Leipzig and the HTWK Leipzig with insights into the diverse career opportunities at these companies.

The participating companies, presented themselves in a 2-minute pitch to about 80 attendees. The event was opened by representatives from the HTWK and the University of Leipzig, followed by a moderated question-and-answer session on topics such as job applications, corporate culture, and working conditions at the newly settled employers.

A subsequent get-together with refreshments provided an opportunity for personal exchange between company representatives and student/alumni guests. This personal exchange during the get-together was particularly well received by the participants. Both companies and students and alumni agreed that the event is a good opportunity to get to know each other and to build networks.
